Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-3 years food and beverage management experience
  • Prior experience managing schedules, inventory, payroll, service recovery and associate relations
  • Knowledge of Texas liquor laws
  • Proven leadership and staff training skills
  • TIPS alcohol certification
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to perform job duties including lifting up to 30 pounds
  • Proficiency in English communication
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
  • Familiarity with emergency procedures including CPR

Job Qualifications

  • 1-3 years food and beverage management experience in high volume banquet and restaurant/bar environment
  • Hotel experience preferred
  • Prior experience managing schedules, inventory, payroll, service recovery and associate relations
  • Knowledge of Texas liquor laws
  • Strong familiarity with beer, wine and spirits
  • Proven leadership skills to train, develop and motivate staff
  • Ability to teach employees how to interact with internal/external guests and solve requests courteously
  • Skill in setting priorities and providing performance feedback
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with computers
  • Ability to work well under pressure managing high volume orders and guest requests
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to provide guest follow-up
  • TIPS alcohol certification
  • Ability to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to move, bend, push, pull, lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Experience with repetitive motion including bending, twisting and reaching overhead

Job Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate assigned shifts managing overall food and beverage operations
  • Coach, mentor and develop F&B managers and hourly service staff
  • Complete environmental checklist for dining room and event space and supervise related associate assignments
  • Stay on the floor during peak hours supervising associate performance
  • Monitor each guest experience to ensure service quality
  • Examine food and beverage preparation and provide corrective training where necessary
  • Supervise bar controls and cost control efforts to ensure financial success
  • Participate in scheduling within budgetary guidelines
  • Forecast weekly and monthly operational needs
  • Complete weekly payroll and associated audit
  • Monitor labor and payroll costs
  • Oversee ordering of daily supplies
  • Supervise maintenance of dining areas for cleanliness, sanitation and appearance
  • Prepare and follow up on maintenance requests
  • Hold pre-shift meetings with associates
  • Follow up on training steps supervising performance and providing re-training
  • Participate in interviewing new associates
  • Ensure adherence to liquor liability laws
  • Know and apply emergency procedures including CPR
  • Handle guest comments and complaints
  • Report product or service defects and measure process attributes as applicable
