  • Must have valid U.S. work authorization at the time of hire
  • previous experience serving customers in a restaurant or banquet setting
  • 1-4 years education at the high school level or equivalent education and experience
  • 6 months experience in a full-service restaurant preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact
  • escort guests to assigned dining area
  • present menus
  • announce waiter’s name
  • use visual cues to seat guests in either the bar or dining area depending on their preference
  • inform guests of current promotion and who will be serving them
  • adhere to all posted opening/closing side work duties as it relates to position
  • attend pre-shift at designated time
  • be aware of daily specials
  • be knowledgeable of all menu items, their garnish, contents and preparation methods
  • answer any guest questions about the menu in a direct, concise way
  • memorize table numbers, station numbers, and contents of stations
  • exhibit a sense of teamwork, pride and confidence at all times
  • be friendly and smile with guests as well as other employees
  • become familiar with all special coupons, discounts and payments accepted at the resort and how to process them through MICROS
  • have thorough understanding of hours of operations for all Sea Pines Resort outlets as well as entertainment and special event schedules
  • become proficient in cash handling and point of sale check administration
  • become familiar with all restaurant daily paperwork as it applies to the operation of each shift
  • carry out all reasonable requests by management which the employee is capable of performing
