Job Description
Generator is a leading global lifestyle accommodation brand that has redefined the hospitality scene with its vibrant, design-led hostels across Europe and the Americas. Originating in London, the company has expanded dynamically through numerous European capitals and recently made a bold entry into the US market with properties in Miami, Washington DC, New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago, partly through the acquisition of Freehand Hotels. Recognized as one of the world’s top 50 most innovative companies by Fast Company, Generator combines outstanding design, cultural engagement, and social vibrancy to create unique, memorable experiences for guests.
Generator Miami marks a significant milestone in the brand’s American journey, strategically located on Collins Avenue in the heart of South Beach. This location allows staff and guests to immerse themselves in Miami's energetic pulse, from its iconic Art Deco architecture and sandy beaches to its world-class shopping and nightlife scenes. The environment fosters a culture where employees are encouraged to be authentic and celebrate their individuality as part of the Generator story.
The Steward (Daytime / Part-Time) role within the Kitchen Crew at Generator Miami is designed for individuals passionate about food and beverage who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. Reporting directly to the F&B Supervisor or Manager, this position involves receiving deliveries, preparation, and dishwashing duties to maintain a clean and efficient kitchen and bar environment. While assigned mainly to a specific outlet—Bar, Café, or Kitchen—employees may occasionally cross over to other departments depending on skills and business needs, offering a rich variety of experiences.
The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for quality coffee, craft beer, and great food, coupled with a 'can do' attitude and a commitment to creating exceptional guest experiences. Responsibilities extend beyond the operational, requiring excellent communication skills, meticulous cash handling, and thorough knowledge of health and safety standards, including fire safety and food hygiene. The role also calls for team players who embrace Generator‘s inclusive and innovative culture and who are excited to engage with diverse guests, embodying the brand’s promise of a unique and social hospitality experience.
Working at Generator Miami offers more than just a job—it offers an opportunity to be part of a cutting-edge lifestyle brand that values creativity, innovation, and social connection. Employees benefit from a range of perks designed to support personal growth and well-being, including paid leave options geared towards a healthy work-life balance, employee recognition programs, gym membership contributions, and access to international career opportunities. The brand’s commitment to equality, safety, and employee development makes it an employer of choice for hospitality professionals who wish to grow their careers while enjoying life in one of the world’s most exciting cities.
