The Full-time Permanent F&B Banquets & Event Manager position at Rosewood Miramar Beach is a pivotal role responsible for managing all aspects of the Banquets and Event department in alignment with the hotel’s high standards. This leadership role requires coordination of all event details and menus to surpass client expectations while maintaining budgeted revenue through proactive business solicitation and controlled expenditures. The F&B Banquets & Event Manager will oversee teams and implement a management philosophy that guides Banquets and Event associates to provide impeccable service.

Key responsibilities include maintaining comprehensive knowledge of departmental policies, daily operations, and scheduled functions, ensuring superior standards are met consistently. The manager is tasked with detailed preparation of banquet event orders, coordinating with catering and kitchen teams, planning staffing schedules, inspecting event setups, and ensuring compliance with all state liquor regulations. Strong guest relations skills are essential, including greeting and seating guests, anticipating and responding promptly to their needs, and handling complaints effectively to enhance overall satisfaction.

This role requires a thorough understanding of financial reports and labor management as well as project management experience in organizing large-scale events from conception to execution. Leadership skills to motivate and develop staff, enforce hotel policies, and foster a cooperative work environment are critical. The position demands physical stamina to handle the fast-paced banquet and event environment, exposure to varying conditions, and strong communication skills in English, with additional languages preferred.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $85,000, with eligibility for bonuses. Compensation will consider factors such as experience, hotel type, location, and education. Job Requirements

  • Diploma or equivalent education
  • Minimum three years’ management experience in Banquets & Events
  • Current and valid Serv Safe Food Protection Manager Certification
  • Current and valid Responsible Beverage Service Certification and ABC Server ID
  • Ability to speak, read and write English
  • Physical ability to exert effort including lifting 20 pounds and enduring sustained physical activity
  • Ability to work flexible hours including 8-12 hour shifts, 5-7 days per week
  • Ability to work in environments exposed to heat, cold, wind, slippery surfaces and kitchen equipment
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

Job Qualifications

  • Diploma or some college or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
  • Must have current and valid Serv Safe Food Protection Manager Certification
  • Must have current and valid Responsible Beverage Service Certification and Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) Server ID
  • Minimum three years’ experience in Banquets & Events in a similar management capacity
  • Experience in hotel operations, preferably in Food & Beverage
  • Experience with a luxury or ultra-luxury property or brand preferred
  • Demonstrated project management experience in organizing and executing large-scale events
  • Proven leadership skills with ability to develop, motivate and manage teams
  • Excellent communication skills in English, additional languages preferred
  • Strong understanding of financial reports and labor management
  • Ability to enforce policies and maintain high service standards
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain organization
  • Ability to handle guest relations and resolve complaints efficiently

Job Duties

  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards
  • Ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis
  • Coordinate details and menus for client functions and maintain budgeted revenues through solicitation of business while controlling expenditures
  • Direct, implement and maintain management philosophy serving as a guide to Banquets & Event associates
  • Prepare weekly work schedules and adjust throughout the week to meet business demands
  • Inspect event areas for cleanliness, proper setup and rectify deficiencies
  • Communicate and coordinate with Executive Chef and Executive Steward regarding menus and equipment requirements
  • Greet guests upon arrival, assist in seating, and ensure guest satisfaction during events
  • Conduct ongoing training of associates and foster a positive work environment
  • Track revenue against budget and review sales discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance with state liquor regulations and proper handling of alcoholic beverages
  • Handle guest complaints using established procedures to ensure satisfaction
  • Prepare and present event billing to clients
  • Maintain inventory, requisition supplies and manage storage and cleanliness of equipment and supplies
  • Complete work orders for maintenance repairs and submit as required
  • Promote positive relations with other departments and coordinate efforts for event success
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
