Job Description
The hiring establishment is a vibrant and dynamic Food and Beverage (F&B) service operation known as the Food Bazaar, which operates within an exciting entertainment and hospitality environment. This company focuses on delivering exceptional dining experiences by providing a wide variety of gourmet food stations where guests can enjoy delicious meals in a lively and inviting atmosphere. The establishment values genuine engagement and positive energy to create a fantasy world of fun, chance, and possibility where every guest feels a sense of belonging and importance. The company’s values emphasize a commitment to doing everything right, enjoying work, and being the best, while fostering a culture of personal accountability and customer focus. This results-driven approach not only enhances the guest experience but also contributes to sustained growth and opportunity creation for employees and stakeholders alike.
The F&B Attendant role at the Food Bazaar is a key position responsible for offering friendly and efficient service of food and beverage items to all guests. This role involves interacting with customers, ensuring their needs are met, and providing helpful recommendations regarding the gourmet stations. The attendant is also charged with maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in their service area by clearing and resetting tables promptly and ensuring that the workstation remains neat and hazard-free. Responsibilities include greeting guests professionally, educating them about menu options, checking on their satisfaction during dining, and notifying chefs of any allergies or special requests. Side work tasks directed by supervisors must be completed diligently, and the service stations are to be kept fully stocked with supplies, glassware, ice, and condiments. This role combines excellent customer service skills with operational excellence to ensure a seamless dining experience.
Employment is typically full-time with a competitive base pay range of $15.00 to $18.75 per hour, depending on the candidate's experience and skill level. In addition to the hourly wage, the company offers comprehensive benefits including group medical, dental, vision and life insurance, access to a flexible spending account (FSA), employee assistance program (EAP), paid time off, 401(k) with company matching, shift differentials, and discretionary quarterly bonuses. The role requires maturity, dependability, and excellent communication skills in English, along with the physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Applicants must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED, or currently enrolled in a GED program to be completed within six months of hire. Completion of BASSET and ServeSafe Sanitation training, along with obtaining an Occupational License under the Illinois Gaming Act, is mandatory to maintain eligibility for the position. The company values a proactive team member willing to work irregular hours and participate in recommended training sessions, including travel when required. This position promises a supportive and growth-oriented work environment where employees are fairly recognized and empowered to contribute to the success and vibrancy of the Food Bazaar.
