Job Requirements

Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum five years of event planning experience
Ability to work weekends
Ability to lift and carry at least 40 pounds
Ability to stand for long periods
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English clearly
Ability to work independently
Valid Driver's License
Completion of mandated reporter training within 30 days of employment
Successful completion of PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check
Commitment to following Salvation Army Policies and Procedures
Understanding of the organization's mission
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
At least five years of experience in the event planning industry
Strong guest service skills
Ability to coordinate multiple venue rentals simultaneously
Professional attitude toward problem solving
Ability to communicate clearly in English
Ability to work well with others while providing direction and feedback
Valid Driver's License
Understanding and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army

Job Duties

Oversee venue rental booking process within approved guidelines and pricing structure
Proactively engage with individuals and outside organizations to promote venue rental options
Execute all contracts for use of space within the Center
Ensure all payment and cash management procedures are followed
Maintain rental and event calendar and ensure events begin and end on time
Assemble and distribute weekly "What’s Happening" report highlighting internal and external events
Develop and monitor operating budget for venue rentals
Communicate with Facilities Manager and Department Heads for event setup and resource coordination
Assist with coordination and execution of events
Ensure guest safety by reporting and resolving safety concerns
Adhere to all Salvation Army Policies and Procedures
Support Sales and Marketing Manager in promotional activities for rentals
Solicit rental client feedback by staying visible and accessible
Perform other assignments as directed
