Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated customer service experience
- Positive demeanor and excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of basic office equipment including printers and phones
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Competent with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to operate computers and office equipment
- Ability to lift and transport office supplies
- Ability to push wheelchairs and assist patients
- Ability to remain sitting or standing for extended periods
- Ability to see and read computer monitors and documents
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated customer service experience
- Positive demeanor and excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of basic office equipment including printers and phones
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Competent with Microsoft Office products
- Associate degree preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Familiar with medical terminology preferred
- Experience in hospitality preferred
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to remain sitting or standing for long periods
- Ability to see and read computer monitors and documents
Job Duties
- Greet customers and act as liaison between guests and hospital departments
- Oversee scheduling and management of Information Desk Volunteers
- Provide clerical support including sorting mail, typing, data entry, and scheduling appointments
- Manage wheelchair availability at hospital entrances
- Track service metrics and report as applicable
- Assist outpatients, guests, and visitors in navigating the hospital, including wheelchair assistance
- Maintain organized and clean work and reception area
- Handle telephone calls, take messages, and forward calls courteously
- Tactfully handle difficult situations and escalate issues when needed
