Job Description
C&W Services, a division of Cushman & Wakefield, is a leading global real estate services firm dedicated to delivering comprehensive property management and facility services with a commitment to excellence. Known for its robust portfolio and dedication to client satisfaction, the company operates in various sectors including commercial, residential, and industrial properties. C&W Services is recognized for fostering a collaborative work environment where professionalism and respect are integral. This commitment to quality and a safe work environment translates into exceptional service delivered to tenants, visitors, and property owners alike.
The Facility Day Porter position at C&W Services plays an essential role in maintaining the facility's cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance during operational hours. This full-time, weekday role is based on a Monday through Friday schedule with shift options from 7am to 3:30pm or 8am to 4:30pm, offering a competitive hourly wage range of $15.30 to $18.00. This position ensures that all high-traffic zones including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, breakrooms, elevators, and conference rooms remain impeccably clean, well-stocked, and functional throughout the day. The Day Porter acts as the primary responder to service requests related to janitorial needs, including spill cleanups, restocking supplies, light maintenance, and supporting meeting room setup or breakdown.
A successful Facility Day Porter demonstrates meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach toward maintaining the aesthetic and operational standards of the facility. The role demands excellent customer service skills as the Day Porter serves as a visible, approachable presence for building occupants, ensuring a welcoming environment at all times. It requires familiarity with safe chemical handling, correct use of janitorial tools and equipment, and adherence to facility-specific protocols including personal protective equipment usage.
This position reports directly to the Maintenance Lead, working closely with the facility management team and other janitorial staff to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and order. The role provides alternate opportunities for light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or reporting issues needing repair, allowing for skill development in basic facility upkeep. C&W Services values diversity and inclusivity and is committed to equal employment opportunities for all candidates, including veterans and individuals with disabilities. Accommodations for candidates needing assistance during the application process are readily available through the company’s ADA compliance efforts.
Employment with C&W Services includes the chance to participate in a comprehensive benefits package. Eligible employees have options for health, vision, and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life insurance, disability insurance, and paid/unpaid time off. The company rewards competency, dedication, and experience with competitive pay reflective of market and individual qualifications. The Facility Day Porter role represents an excellent opportunity for those with janitorial or facilities support experience seeking a consistent, respectful workplace with a strong support network and potential for career growth within the facilities management sector.
