- Associate's degree or completion of sixty college-level semester units and two years experience in events/hospitality industry
- or four years experience in events/hospitality industry without the degree
- Sensitivity and ability to work with diverse populations
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and facilitate events
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to operate office equipment and computers
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
- Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Job Qualifications
- An associate's degree or completion of at least sixty college-level semester units, plus two years of experience in the events or hospitality industry
- or four years of experience in the events or hospitality industry without the degree
- Demonstrated sensitivity and ability to work with diverse academic, socioeconomic, ethnic, religious, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, immigrant status, and cultural backgrounds
- Strong knowledge of event planning, scheduling, and coordination principles
- Knowledge of regulations, policies, educational codes, and laws related to public assembly
- Excellent communication skills including proper language usage, grammar, and composition
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Proficiency in personal computer software including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation graphics
- Working knowledge of contract administration and budgetary principles
- Strong human relations skills to resolve conflicts and maintain positive relations
- Ability to work cooperatively with individuals and teams
- Ability to represent the college in interactions with governmental agencies, community groups, and organizations
