Job Description

Boulder Country Club is a prestigious and well-established private club known for its exceptional amenities and commitment to providing a top-tier experience to its members. Situated in a scenic location, the club offers a wide range of recreational activities, social events, and dining options, ensuring an enriching and welcoming environment for all members and their guests. With a focus on excellence and member satisfaction, Boulder Country Club continuously strives to maintain a clean, safe, and beautiful facility where members can relax, socialize, and enjoy their favorite activities. As part of its dedicated team, the club values employees who are dependable, professional, and attentive to detail, helping to uphold the high standards expected by its membership.

The Day Porter position at Boulder Country Club is a full-time, daytime role that is essential to the daily functioning and appearance of the club. Reporting directly to the Facilities Director and Housekeeping Lead, the Day Porter plays a highly visible and member-facing role responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of the clubhouse, member areas, and various common spaces throughout the day. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning, with an emphasis on high-traffic areas such as restrooms, entrances, and fitness spaces, ensuring these locations remain inviting and spotless at all times.

In this position, the Day Porter is expected to move throughout the club facilities consistently, responding swiftly to spills, messes, and other maintenance needs that arise during operating hours. The job also involves restocking supplies, assisting with event setups, and performing light cleanup post-events. The ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness is critical, as the Day Porter must balance various responsibilities without disruption to the club's daily operations.

Boulder Country Club offers a competitive wage of $18 per hour for this role, with an average workweek of 30 to 40 hours and potential for overtime during peak periods. The schedule primarily includes daytime shifts aligned with club hours, with a preference for availability on weekends and holidays given the club’s activity levels. Physical stamina and the ability to stay active throughout the shift are important, as the role requires considerable walking, standing, bending, and lifting of up to 40 pounds.

In addition to a supportive team environment, Boulder Country Club provides a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance after 60 days of employment. Employees are also eligible to participate in the 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching following one year of service. Other benefits include paid sick and vacation days, limited golf benefits, discounted uniform shoes, employee meals during working hours, and discounts on summer camp programs for children aged 4 to 12.

This position is ideal for individuals who are reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment with regular interaction with members and guests. Experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or similar roles is preferred but not mandatory, with an emphasis on a positive attitude and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Boulder Country Club is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive workplace and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, ensuring fair consideration for all applicants. Joining the Boulder Country Club team as a Day Porter offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to maintaining the club's excellent reputation and delivering a clean, organized, and welcoming atmosphere every day.
