This part-time employment opportunity offers a competitive starting hourly rate of $15.15, with scheduled working hours on Monday through Wednesday and every third Sunday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The role requires an individual who can navigate computer systems with ease to assist in managing admissions and related administrative tasks efficiently. The Facilities Attendant's responsibilities are diverse, encompassing the oversight of multiple recreation areas such as pools, fitness rooms, and sports courts, ensuring members and their guests receive consummate assistance and guidance in accordance with company policies.

Specific responsibilities include greeting and verifying cardholders and guests, selling host punch cards, issuing guest passes, educating patrons on safety and operational policies, conducting routine housekeeping duties, monitoring fitness equipment usage, and responding promptly to incidents or emergencies. The attendant is also expected to collaborate closely with custodial staff and communicate effectively with supervisors about any safety concerns or unusual incidents that arise during their shifts.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to navigate a computer with ease
  • One year of in-person customer service experience or equivalent
  • Ability to work specified days and hours including some Sundays
  • Ability to communicate clearly and courteously
  • Ability to perform physical activities including walking, bending, squatting
  • Ability to lift and manipulate up to 35 pounds
  • Willingness to follow safety procedures and participate in training
  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to elements

Job Qualifications

  • One year of in-person customer service experience, or any equivalent combination of experience, training, and education
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service

Job Duties

  • Greets all individuals and welcomes them to the facility
  • Verifies cardholder's card prior to authorizing admittance
  • Checks cardholders and guests into the facilities
  • Verifies guests are eligible as guests per company policies
  • Sells host punch cards and collects payments
  • Issues guest passes for cardholder guests as requested
  • Provides customer assistance as needed
  • Informs and educates cardholders and guests regarding policies, rules, safety standards and sanitation requirements
  • Communicates with cardholders and guests when their actions are outside of policies and change is required
  • Monitors fitness room to ensure usage of equipment is in accordance with policies
  • Reads center announcements at least one time per shift
  • Opens/closes area of assignment depending on schedule
  • Performs housekeeping duties including picking up trash, organizing and wiping equipment and surfaces
  • Works as a team with custodial staff to determine weather safety for outdoor aquatics
  • Completes incident reports for accidents, incidents and emergencies
  • Places 911 calls in emergency situations
  • Informs supervisor of any unusual incidents or unsafe conditions
  • Participates in mandatory safety training and prioritizes safety throughout the workday
  • Cleans tables, balls, clubs, and other playing equipment as needed
  • Cleans walkways around assigned area
