  • clear concise written and verbal communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of 2 years food and beverage supervisory or management outlet experience preferably in a hotel of similar size
  • complete knowledge and strict adherence to state liquor regulations
  • food handling certificate
  • knowledge of various food service styles including French, Russian, tableside flambe and butler style service
  • ability to compute basic mathematical calculations
  • familiarity with food and beverage cost controls
  • certification in alcohol awareness program
  • computer literate

Job Duties

  • Spend 80% of shift supervising team and communicating with guests
  • train staff and cover shifts in all outlets
  • conduct daily stand up meetings addressing grooming and uniform standards
  • uphold and communicate Forbes service standards
  • perform regular audits to ensure team compliance
  • manage daily opening and closing checklists and manager timeline checklists
  • adhere to city regulations for beach and pool operations
  • resolve guest issues with timely follow up
  • perform monthly inventory
  • enter weekly schedules and update timesheets
  • maintain knowledge of food and beverage trends and menu presentation
  • manage promotions, cost control, and beverage inventory
  • ensure staff training on hotel standards and food handling regulations
  • maintain excellent customer service levels
  • create and distribute staff schedules
  • evaluate and supervise staff performance including disciplinary actions
  • participate in management meetings
  • coordinate with other departments for events
  • identify sales opportunities through marketing and promotions
  • communicate with service and kitchen staff about reservations and events
  • establish par levels and complete requisitions
  • develop employee engagement strategies
  • ensure safety, sanitation, and cleanliness
  • handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • respond professionally to guest complaints
  • update par levels and complete supply requisitions
  • maintain computer system knowledge
  • model professional and friendly service
  • participate in team training and coaching
  • support incentive programs
  • evaluate operations for training needs
  • consistently follow Forbes standards
  • perform other assigned duties as needed
