  • Strong organizational skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple parties and manage deadlines
  • Familiarity with school extracurricular events
  • Ability to maintain accurate records
  • Commitment to adhere to school policies and regulations

Job Qualifications

  • The successful candidate must be a regularly employed professional educator within the county
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
  • Experience managing events or coordinating activities preferred
  • Knowledge of school policies and extracurricular programming

Job Duties

  • Meet with appropriate central office staff to plan the event and review the timeline of activities and expectations
  • Serve as a liaison with principals and teachers involved in the event
  • Coordinate with appropriate outside agencies, as needed
  • Communicate effectively with parents and students
  • Maintain appropriate financial records, as needed
  • Coordinate appropriate follow-up activities and events at the regional, state and/or national levels
  • Secure the services of judges and adjudicators, as needed
  • Order trophies and other awards for participants
  • Complete all required reports, if appropriate
  • Prepare news release of county winners and provide to local media
  • Complete other relevant duties as assigned
