The Athletics, Facilities & Operations department at UNF seeks a dedicated individual to join their Athletics Development and External Operations team. This role is an hourly position compensated at $20.00 per hour, offering a hands-on opportunity to contribute to the success of university athletics events and donor relations. The position primarily focuses on event planning and execution, including donor events, hospitality functions, community engagement activities, and fundraising initiatives. The candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting game-day hospitality operations across various athletics venues, ensuring premium seating areas, suites, and donor hospitality spaces provide exceptional experiences.
Beyond event logistics, this role supports donor development and stewardship through managing invitations, guest lists, check-ins, follow-ups, and benefit fulfillment. The position also demands proficiency in coordinating diverse operational and administrative duties such as inventory management for promotional and hospitality materials, and general team support. Interpersonal skills are critical, as the role requires interaction with donors, alumni, sponsors, students, and staff, maintaining professionalism and representing the university positively at all times.
This position requires adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment with the flexibility to accommodate evening, weekend, and holiday hours as needed. Physical demands include the ability to lift and carry event materials and to stand or walk for extended periods during events. Job Duties
- assist with planning setup execution and breakdown of athletics development and external operations events including donor events hospitality functions community engagements and fundraising initiatives
- support game-day hospitality operations across athletics venues including premium seating areas suites and donor hospitality spaces
- coordinate logistics such as venue setup catering signage credentialing registration and on-site event support
- serve as on-site event staff to ensure a high-quality experience for donors alumni sponsors and guests
- assist with donor stewardship initiatives including event invitations guest lists check-in post-event follow-up and benefit fulfillment
- support annual giving and special fundraising initiatives such as giving days crowdfunding campaigns and sports-specific events
- help maintain accurate event and donor records in the CRM database in coordination with development staff
- support the external operations team with day-to-day needs related to events hospitality and community engagement efforts
- assist with inventory management for event supplies promotional items and hospitality materials
- provide general administrative and operational support as assigned
- represent the athletics department and university in a professional manner at all events and external engagements
- maintain knowledge of and compliance with NCAA conference and university policies
- perform other duties as assigned in support of athletics development and external operations goals
