We are currently seeking Professional Food Expeditors / Food Runners to join our exceptional culinary team. These roles are vital in ensuring the flawless delivery of Truluck's core values from kitchen to table. Food Expeditors and Food Runners work closely with chefs and service staff to maintain the highest standards of quality, presentation, and hospitality excellence. Candidates with previous hospitality experience who demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to teamwork will thrive in this role. This position demands deep expertise in the menu offerings to effectively communicate with guests about the culinary creations they are enjoying. Successful Food Expeditors and Food Runners not only manage food delivery but also uphold food safety and sanitation standards while maintaining a keen awareness of ticket times and any potential service issues.

The role requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds, reflecting the dynamic and fast-paced nature of the restaurant environment. Compensation ranges from $17 to $25 per hour, which includes hourly pay plus tips. Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for 9 hours
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Clear and accurate communication
  • Command of the English or Spanish language
  • Ability to perform all job functions while wearing the specified uniform including proper footwear
  • Previous restaurant experience preferred but not necessary

Job Qualifications

  • Previous hospitality experience
  • Proven track record of professionalism, accountability, and team commitment
  • Expertise on culinary menu offerings
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English or Spanish
  • Ability to maintain product knowledge through training
  • Ability to perform job functions wearing specified uniform including proper footwear
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Perform job functions in accordance with performance standards
  • Perform expo set up, running side work, and closing duties
  • Contain and maintain product knowledge through continuous training
  • Garnish dishes with proper fresh garnishment
  • Report any food quality or presentation issues to Chef and/or Leadership
  • Maintain awareness of ticket times and report any issues to Chef and/or Leadership
  • Maintain service line safety and sanitation
  • Deliver food timely from kitchen to designated table
  • Work with teamwork always in mind
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Leadership Team
