Job Description
Truluck's is a renowned upscale seafood restaurant that has been delivering exceptional dining experiences since its inception in 1992. Known for its dedication to culinary excellence, sustainable seafood practices, Southern hospitality, enriching company culture, and active philanthropy, Truluck's has established itself as a distinguished name in the fine dining industry. The establishment prides itself on its unwavering commitment to quality and sustainability, sourcing Florida Stone Crab directly from their expert crabbers and procuring produce locally whenever possible. This approach not only guarantees the freshest ingredients but also supports environmental responsibility and local communities.
At Truluck's, the Team Assistant role is vital to the smooth operation of the dining experience, serving as the backbone of the service staff. As a Team Assistant, candidates will be entrusted with critical responsibilities that ensure the seamless flow of service during busy periods. This position involves clearing dishware, polishing silverware and glassware, and meticulously setting tables in preparation for each service. It demands a high level of pace and efficiency, as well as a strong team-oriented mindset, as the Team Assistant works closely with both the front-of-house team and leadership to maintain the restaurant's impeccable standards.
The ideal candidates for the Team Assistant position will have prior experience in hospitality, particularly in fast-paced, upscale dining environments. Their professionalism, sense of accountability, and commitment to teamwork are crucial to upholding the exceptional customer experience that Truluck's is celebrated for. This role emphasizes both physical endurance and attention to detail, requiring candidates to be able to stand for long periods and handle weighty materials, all while adhering to a strict dress code including proper footwear.
Truluck's culture embodies several core values encapsulated in the acronym STONE CRAB, which highlights kindness, pride in work, helpfulness, continuous improvement, empathy, high standards, fun, positivity, authenticity, and hard work. Team Assistants are expected to embody these principles daily, contributing to an environment where hospitality professionals thrive and guests receive memorable service. This supportive and fun workplace encourages ambition and personal growth, offering team members a chance to develop their careers in the hospitality industry.
Compensation for the Team Assistant position includes hourly wages plus tips, with the potential to earn between $17 and $25 per hour, making it both a financially rewarding and personally fulfilling role. Truluck's provides essential training and resources to ensure team members are well-prepared to meet the demands of their position and uphold the distinguished reputation of the establishment. For individuals passionate about hospitality, sustainability, and working within a respected fine dining environment, this opportunity at Truluck's represents an ideal fit where one can contribute meaningfully and grow professionally.
