Job Description
Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum is a distinguished non-profit community organization located in Denver, Colorado. Job Requirements
- aviation mechanic (A&P) certification preferred but prior experience as a lead in experimental aircraft building acceptable
- must be at least twenty-one years of age or older
- able to communicate clearly and positively with students
- experience operating aircraft tools and reading schematics
- prior instructor or teacher experience preferred
- ability to operate in workshop settings with tolerance for loud noises, dust, and odors
- must be able to push, pull, squat, and lift 50+ lbs
- CPR/First Aid certified (preferred) or willing to attend Wings-sponsored training

- computer proficiency including Office 365 and Google Workspace
Job Qualifications
- prior experience as an instructor or teacher in formal or informal settings
- comprehensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance
- experience operating aircraft tools and reading schematics
- prior experience building experimental or other aircraft highly preferred
- self-motivated and energetic with strong interpersonal skills
- excellent organizational and planning skills
- team-player experienced working on group projects
- ability to deal professionally and sensitively with diverse audiences
- computer proficiency including Office 365 and Google Workspace
- commitment to program diversity and inclusion
Job Duties
- facilitate Wings Aerospace Exploration programs
- instruct students on experimental aircraft building and maintenance
- operate and demonstrate use of aircraft tools and equipment
- communicate clearly and positively with diverse student groups
- collaborate with education team and other departments
- assist with event setup and educational outreach
- maintain safety and cleanliness in workshop settings
