Job Description

Bayside Veterinary Care, located in Barrington, Rhode Island, is a full-service small animal veterinary practice dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care for pets. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a veterinary receptionist or client care role
  • Strong computer and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain professional and ethical conduct
  • Capability to multitask and maintain attention to detail
  • Availability to work Saturdays and evening shifts
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or relevant education and work experience
  • Customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Tech savvy with experience using veterinary software
  • Team oriented with effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of veterinary terminology and patient care principles
  • Experience in a veterinary or medical reception role

Job Duties

  • Client communication including client education and maintenance of a compassionate, patient-focused attitude
  • Professional, mature, and ethical representation of Bayside Veterinary Care
  • Clear and effective communication in person, in writing, and over the phone
  • Maintenance of accurate client contact information and timely message reporting
  • Appointment confirmation, accurate invoicing, and payment collection
  • Performing additional administrative duties as requested and maintaining detail orientation while multitasking
  • Ensuring cleanliness and welcoming examination rooms, communicating patient needs and medical instructions to clients and doctors
  • Accurate labeling and recording of dispensed medications and medical record keeping
  • Managing client/pet traffic control and maintaining facility cleanliness
  • Participating in quarterly continuing education
