Job Description

Cura is a distinguished provider of dining services specializing in healthcare settings, including hospitals, senior living centers, and long-term care facilities. Dedicated to enhancing the quality of life through nutritious and carefully prepared meals, Cura's mission is to offer compassionate service paired with exceptional food experiences that promote wellbeing and satisfaction for residents and patients alike. Known for its commitment to quality and innovation in culinary service within healthcare, Cura operates with a deep understanding of the nutritional and comfort needs unique to this sector. The company fosters a supportive and inclusive workplace culture that values diversity and professional growth, ensuring its team members are motivated and equipped to deliver excellence in all aspects of food service.

The role of Sous Chef at Cura's facility located in White Horse Village, Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and dedicated culinary team focused on healthcare hospitality. This hands-on leadership position requires overseeing essential food production functions from purchasing and meal preparation to meal service and sanitation, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. The Sous Chef will play a critical role in training and onboarding new kitchen staff, promoting a collaborative environment that emphasizes efficiency, creativity, and excellence in culinary production. A key part of the job involves developing and maintaining standardized recipes that meet both quality and cost control objectives, as well as planning and executing special events that highlight culinary expertise and innovation in meal service.

This role demands a leader who is not only skilled in culinary arts but also proficient in organizational and interpersonal skills, capable of managing multiple priorities within tight timelines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required to assist with administrative tasks and reporting. While an associate degree in culinary arts is preferred, the most critical qualification is a minimum of three years of progressive culinary management experience, ideally within a long-term care environment. Cura offers comprehensive benefits for full-time employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, voluntary accident and critical illness plans, employee assistance programs, 401k retirement plan, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement, reflecting its commitment to employee wellbeing and professional development.

Joining Cura means contributing to a company that values diversity and inclusion. Elior North America, the parent organization, is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to creating a supportive atmosphere for all employees. Candidates can expect to work in a thriving culinary community that supports growth, innovation, and the highest standards of healthcare dining. This role is an excellent fit for a dedicated culinary professional seeking to make a meaningful impact on resident satisfaction and nutritional quality within a respected healthcare foodservice provider.
