As an Experienced Server at our restaurant, you will take on a pivotal role bridging the kitchen and our guests. Your expertise in food service and fine dining will allow you to provide detailed menu descriptions, wine pairing recommendations, and attentive guest service. With a strong culinary background and a detailed understanding of food safety and sanitation, you will ensure each order is handled accurately and presented beautifully. Your role is not only to serve but to enhance every aspect of the guest’s experience, from the warm greeting upon arrival to efficiently managing orders and addressing any guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism. You will also utilize advanced POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, handling transactions with precision. Additionally, your support to the kitchen and bussing staff will help sustain the smooth operation of the restaurant during the busiest of shifts.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience working as a server in fine dining or hospitality sectors
Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform demanding tasks
Basic math proficiency
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation protocols
Team player with a positive attitude

Job Qualifications

Proven experience as a server in a food service or restaurant environment, especially within fine dining or nightlife venues
Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS
excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle guest needs professionally
Culinary experience or background in food handling, sanitation, and food safety standards
Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail
Ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales opportunities
Experience with bussing tables, host/hostess duties, or supporting kitchen operations is advantageous
Basic math skills for cashiering, check splitting, and transaction accuracy
Knowledge of the food industry trends related to hospitality, guest services, and food preparation

Job Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
Take accurate food and beverage orders using advanced POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring clarity and attention to detail
Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend wine pairings, and upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience
Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation
Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems, including cash handling and basic math calculations
Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to maintain smooth operations in a fast-paced environment such as a nightclub or fine dining setting
