Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • proven experience as a baker
  • physical stamina to handle long hours and perform manual tasks
  • ability to work effectively during nighttime hours
  • food safe handling certified

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years of baking/pastry industry experience preferred
  • pastry/culinary certificate, diploma or degree is preferred
  • high school diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • proven experience as a baker, preferably in a similar role
  • strong knowledge of baking techniques and equipment
  • ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • physical stamina to handle long hours and perform manual tasks
  • ability to work effectively during nighttime hours, starting in the evening and finishing early in the morning
  • food safe handling certified

Job Duties

  • Measure and mix ingredients accurately to prepare doughs, batters, and other baking mixtures, creams and frostings according to established recipes
  • operate ovens and baking equipment to bake products to specifications, adjusting temperatures and times as necessary
  • create visually appealing desserts by decorating them with frostings, creams, and other edible items such as chocolate
  • monitor and ensure the quality and consistency of baked goods, making adjustments to recipes or processes as needed
  • track and manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, ordering and restocking as needed to maintain production levels
  • maintain a clean and organized workspace, including regular cleaning of baking equipment and adherence to health and safety regulations
  • package finished products appropriately for sale or distribution, ensuring presentation meets company standards
  • document ingredient usage, inventory levels, and any issues or adjustments made during the baking process
