This unique approach not only highlights culinary excellence but also fosters a warm and inviting community space where customers feel welcome to relax and enjoy their favorite beverages, fine pastries, specialty desserts, and other retail products.
The Cambridge School of Culinary Arts Cafe offers a work environment that blends the culinary arts with customer service, setting it apart as a destination for food enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. The cafe's commitment to quality and innovation ensures that every item served meets strict standards, reflecting the skills and passion of those behind the counter.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced baker to join our expanding team. This part-time, hourly role provides a competitive salary ranging from $22 to $27 per hour, commensurate with experience and educational background. Typical shifts include early morning bakeoff sessions three days a week as well as one to two full production days with the cafe baking team. This schedule allows for a balance of focused baking work and collaborative production efforts, adapting to the dynamic needs of the business.
The baker will play a vital role in preparing, baking, decorating, and finishing a variety of doughs, pastries, and specialty desserts. The ideal candidate will possess excellent time management skills, efficiency, and meticulous attention to detail to maintain the highest standards of product quality and cleanliness in what can be a fast-paced environment. Experience with various doughs, batters, mixes, as well as expertise in the lamination process is highly desired.
This role calls for an individual committed to upholding the cafe’s reputation by ensuring consistency and quality in every bake and decoration. The baker will be responsible not only for the hands-on preparation and baking but also for managing inventory, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation according to health and safety regulations, and documenting ingredient usage and production adjustments. This multifaceted position is essential for sustaining the cafe's exceptional culinary standards and its status as a community hub for delicious, artfully crafted baked goods.
