Job Description

Located in the vibrant city of Vancouver, WA, our establishment is a dynamic culinary destination known for its commitment to quality and a high-standard, scratch-made menu. We pride ourselves on providing an energetic and fast-paced kitchen environment where dedicated culinary professionals can thrive. Our kitchen specializes in crafting pizzas, paninis, cold sandwiches, and fresh salads, offering a tight menu with no room for excuses. This focus on quality and consistency allows us to deliver an exceptional dining experience to our customers. We believe in fostering a team-first culture that values reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic. Dependable transportation is required for candidates due to our location in Vancouver, WA.

We are currently seeking an experienced, self-sufficient cook to take on a challenging and rewarding one-person kitchen shift. The position is scheduled from Thursday to Sunday, 3 PM until close (approximately 10 PM). The pay starts at $18.50 per hour plus 15% of tips based on hours worked, with tips typically adding around $3 per hour depending on sales. This is a unique opportunity for a culinary professional who can independently manage an entire kitchen line during busy service hours without needing constant supervision or direction.

The role demands someone who can execute tickets promptly and to the established chef standards, manage all aspects of the kitchen line solo, and handle dishwashing duties to ensure plates and silverware consistently flow to the front of house. Staying organized, ahead of the rush, and stocked without prompt is crucial to success in this role. We seek candidates with a proven track record of running a station independently, maintaining speed, accuracy, and composure under pressure. This position is not for those who need continual direction or struggle under volume; it is designed for a self-driven and disciplined individual who takes pride in their work and contributes positively to the team dynamic.

Our kitchen operates 90% from scratch, emphasizing fresh ingredients and hands-on preparation. Maintaining cleanliness, organization, and a team-first mindset is non-negotiable. We expect reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude from all team members. Candidates must embody a no-ego approach and hold themselves accountable while working cohesively within the team. We do not tolerate no-call/no-shows, lack of respect for dishwashing tasks, or individuals who fail to show up on time or under pressure.

If you are a motivated culinary professional ready to take full ownership of a kitchen shift and meet high culinary standards with consistent quality and speed, we encourage you to apply. Join a workplace where your skills and work ethic will be recognized and valued, with competitive pay and tip opportunities that reflect your hard work and dedication.
