The company’s long-standing history, spanning over a century with family ownership, emphasizes stability and growth opportunity within the hospitality industry.

The role of Cook at Southland Casino is a unique chance for culinary professionals seeking both full-time and part-time employment to elevate their careers in a reputable and supportive setting. With an hourly wage ranging from $15.00 to $17.50, this position allows cooks to work alongside a team dedicated to excellence, innovation, and quality cuisine. They will be responsible for operating kitchen equipment safely, maintaining food freshness, and ensuring all food handling procedures comply with sanitation laws. Additionally, the role involves training fellow team members, reinforcing a collaborative team environment where continuous learning and skill development are encouraged.

Working at Southland Casino means contributing to an upscale culinary operation that values employee well-being. Delaware North offers comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plans with company match, paid vacation and holidays, parental bonding leave, employee assistance programs, and tuition or certification reimbursement opportunities. The workplace environment supports flexible scheduling catering to various shifts—days, evenings, overnight, weekends, and holidays—ensuring adaptability for employees with diverse needs. This role also demands physical stamina, as cooks must be capable of lifting heavy weights, standing for extended periods, and working in variable temperature settings.
