The role of the Housekeeping / Room Attendant is an essential part of our hotel operations. As a Housekeeping / Room Attendant, you will be primarily responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guest rooms, hallways, and public areas throughout the hotel. This includes servicing guest rooms daily to meet our high standards of cleanliness and hospitality. You'll be tasked with replenishing room supplies, replacing bed linens, and ensuring that every guest enjoys a safe, welcoming, and spotless environment in accordance with our company standards and safety/security procedures. This position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to guest satisfaction, contributing directly to the overall quality of our guests' experience. Teamwork is a key aspect of this role; you will collaborate closely with the Senior Housekeeper and the Housekeeping Supervisor to prioritize tasks and assist with special requests or challenges as they arise. Your responsibilities also include reporting any maintenance issues, missing articles, or guest concerns promptly and professionally. Job Requirements

  • Experience in a hotel or a related field
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight (minimum of 20 lbs)
  • Ability to bend, lift, and be standing or walking during entire shift
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Must work well in stressful, high pressure situations
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
  • Long hours sometimes required but an average week is 30 hours

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in a hotel or a related field
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
  • Ability to work well in stressful, high pressure situations
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Clean guest rooms and stock with appropriate supplies in the prescribed manner while following safety and security procedures and regulations
  • Pick up trash
  • Change linen and make the bed
  • Clean entire bathroom
  • Sweep and dust guest room
  • Clean the windows
  • Retrieve, stock, restock and store the housekeeping cart according to prescribed housekeeping, safety and security procedures and regulations
  • Receive assigned section, keys, supplies and any priority room requests from the Senior Housekeeper
  • Turn in keys and unused supplies at end of shift
  • Respond to guest requests and report guest issues and complaints in a hospitable manner to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Report any missing articles, damage or mechanical problems to the Senior Housekeeper and turn in articles left in room
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping Supervisor on work priorities and provide assistance when needed
