Job Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent preferred
Minimum of 3 years housekeeping experience in long-term care or hospitality required
Ability to walk for up to 6-7 hours per day
Ability to stand for 1-2 hours per day
Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
Frequent pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs
Valid Pennsylvania Driver License
Good written, oral, organizational, and basic computer skills

Job Duties

Maintains a clean, healthy, and safe environment by performing housekeeping duties as assigned
Inspects, monitors, cleans, and maintains resident rooms, indoor and outdoor common areas, employee service areas, sidewalks and driveways
Reports environmental situations that pose threats to safety
Uses chemicals and cleaning agents safely and effectively in accordance with regulations
Assists with laundry duties as needed
Completes housekeeping tasks such as trash disposal, floor maintenance, furniture moving, and light fixture upkeep
Uses and maintains housekeeping equipment safely and effectively
Provides residents with information and support during moves or transfers
Assists with cleaning vacated resident rooms and reports condition
Completes special projects including event setups and snow or ice removal
Picks up and delivers equipment, supplies, and furniture for village functions
