Job Description

Vintage Vine 100 is a refined and charming wine bar located in the heart of the vibrant McEwen Northside community within Cool Springs. As a small, sophisticated establishment, it offers a carefully curated selection of fine wines, craft beers, bourbons, and small plates. This local, family-owned and operated business prides itself on creating a unique and memorable guest experience that is exceptional in every detail. Vintage Vine 100 occupies a newly built standalone building, providing an inviting atmosphere for wine aficionados and casual visitors alike who appreciate quality beverages and attentive service.

The role of the bartender at Vintage Vine 100 is pivotal in maintaining the bar's high standards. The ideal candidate will be experienced, personable, and deeply knowledgeable about wines and other alcoholic beverages. The bartender is entrusted with verifying customer identification to ensure compliance with legal age restrictions and is responsible for preparing and serving an array of drinks, primarily focusing on wine flights and wine by the glass. This position requires taking payments, managing customer tabs, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area.

In addition to serving drinks, the bartender at Vintage Vine 100 plays an essential role in enhancing the guest experience by recommending wine, beer, bourbon, and food options tailored to individual customer tastes and preferences. Building rapport with regular patrons to foster a welcoming, positive environment is a key aspect of this role. Moreover, the bartender is expected to contribute to wait service for bar tables, ensuring that food and beverage service is seamless and professional.

This position demands excellent verbal communication skills and interpersonal abilities to efficiently interact with customers and team members, including the owner and sommelier. The bartender will work closely with these key figures to coordinate food pairings for events, tastings, and educational classes, helping to elevate the overall guest experience. Reliability and the ability to follow a scheduled work plan are critical since this is a full or part-time job with competitive wages and tips.

Vintage Vine 100 offers in-house training and wine education to ensure that its bartenders are well-equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform at the highest level. Candidates with existing wine education or certification are preferred, though comprehensive training is provided to those eager to learn and grow with the team. Holding or willingness to obtain a TABC license is mandatory, along with a firm commitment to enforcing all relevant laws and company policies related to alcohol service.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about wine, committed to exceptional customer service, and eager to work in a close-knit team environment at a distinguished wine bar that values quality, sophistication, and the customer experience above all else.
