Job Description

Friendsview is a well-established organization known for its commitment to quality and community. As a values-based entity emphasizing integrity, compassion, and excellence, Friendsview creates an environment where purpose-driven work flourishes. They prioritize a supportive team atmosphere and focus on maintaining a consistent, quality-focused kitchen. This makes Friendsview a compelling place for food professionals who are passionate about crafting nutritious and visually appealing dishes that bring people together. Friendsview operates in a full-time, structured environment ideal for those who value dependability and collaborative success.

The role of Experienced Baker at Friendsview is an exciting opportunity for a culinary professional eager to specialize in the art of baking. This position emphasizes creativity, nutrition, and the joy that quality desserts bring to dining experiences. The baker partners closely with the Chef to plan, prepare, and present baked goods that meet diverse dietary needs including low sugar, sugar-free, gluten-free, and soy-free options. This challenges the baker not only to apply traditional skills but to also innovate and adapt recipes in line with current baking trends and dietary guidelines.

Working in a professional kitchen environment, the Experienced Baker is responsible for ensuring all baked products are prepared according to strict recipes and production schedules. They play a critical role in maintaining high food safety and sanitation standards, abiding by OSHA regulations and Health Department mandates. Organizational skills are essential as the baker must manage inventory, submit supply needs, and keep detailed food logs. Attention to presentation and quality ensures that every dessert served contributes positively to the guests' overall dining experience.

Scheduling for this role includes shifts from 5 am to 1 pm with a requirement to work weekends, reflecting the commitment to quality service at all times. The starting wage ranges from $19.57 to $22.60 per hour depending on experience, demonstrating competitive compensation for skilled bakers. This is a full-time position offering stability, a well-maintained workplace, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully within a team-oriented and purpose-driven organization.

The Experienced Baker at Friendsview will thrive if they enjoy working collaboratively in a culinary setting, experimenting with new ideas, and seeing the direct impact of their craft on customer satisfaction. The role requires reliability, clear communication skills, and a strong sense of responsibility, all aimed at supporting the kitchen's operations, catering, and special events. This position is more than just baking; it is about being part of a community that values quality, care, and the joy that comes from food made with skill and compassion.
