The Food Expediter plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between the kitchen and the dining room by coordinating orders, verifying the quality and presentation of dishes, and facilitating smooth service operations. This full-time position requires an individual who excels at multitasking, working efficiently under pressure, and communicating clearly with both the kitchen team and front-of-house staff. The expediter is responsible for managing the expediting station during peak service periods, ensuring every dish meets the restaurant standards before being delivered to guests, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in the service areas. The role also demands a high level of knowledge about the menu offerings to assist servers effectively and promote customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements
- obtain and maintain a valid gaming license
- obtain and maintain a Food Handlers Certificate
- obtain and maintain MAST certification
- high school diploma or equivalent
- one year of experience in a related food expediting or restaurant position
- strong communication skills
- ability to work under pressure
- multitasking ability
- willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- knowledge of health and safety regulations

- demonstrate a pleasant attitude and energy to ensure exceptional guest service
- present a professional demeanor, appearance, and communication skills in accordance with company guidelines
- working knowledge of restaurant floor plans
- ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- clear communication skills with guests and team members regarding food and beverage orders and guest questions and concerns
- ability to read menu offerings, product labels, register screen, pricing, receipts, safety procedures, and operating directions
- maintain a safe and clean restaurant environment
- willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- manage the expediting station during service periods, serving as the communication hub between the kitchen and service staff
- demonstrate knowledge of all menu offerings and understand detailed descriptions of each item
- verify food orders for accuracy, presentation, and quality before delivery to guests
- coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure the timely preparation and delivery of all menu items
- send complete orders out by table/seat number and follow all ticket requests (i.e., Send Solo, Split, For Table, etc.)
- deliver food to tables promptly and accurately, describing dishes when appropriate
- perform line checks to ensure proper par levels of all required products are on hand on an ongoing basis
- assist servers during peak periods to maintain service efficiency and guest satisfaction
- ensure all plates, garnishes, and accompaniments meet presentation standards
- monitor ticket times and communicate delays to appropriate team members
- maintain the cleanliness of service areas and assist with side work as needed
- follow all health department regulations and food safety protocols
- communicate guest preferences, allergies, and special requests clearly to kitchen staff
- perform other duties and side work as assigned
