The role at Legends Global focuses on the essential operational bridge between the front of house and back of house in food service settings, with an emphasis on streamlining communication and ensuring the efficient production and presentation of food. The ideal candidate is entrusted with communicating orders and relevant information effectively to coordinate food preparation sequences, making sure every dish is cooked properly and served to guests promptly and accurately. This position requires a dedicated team player with leadership skills who can manage food runners and oversee the timely and accurate delivery of orders, reinforcing the quality of service and guest satisfaction.

The responsibilities extend beyond basic communication, encompassing adherence to safety standards, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen workspace. The role demands meticulous attention to cleanliness, including maintaining walls, floors, shelves, and drains, ensuring all equipment is handled safely to prevent injuries and damage. The role also involves participating actively in food preparation and service, following both opening and closing procedures with precision, and aligning with company guidelines on appearance and uniform standards. The candidate will also be expected to adapt to changing circumstances swiftly, leveraging strong organizational and multitasking abilities to keep the kitchen operations running smoothly even in fast-paced, high-end environments.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • culinary training preferred
  • must have two to three years working in a fast paced high-end club or restaurant
  • must be able to work extended hours including late nights, weekends and holidays
  • ability to stand, sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms
  • ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • practice safe work habits and follow all safety policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • Communicate orders and information between front of house and back of house
  • ensure food is cooked in correct order, efficiently and presented correctly to guests
  • follow assignments for opening and closing procedures and food preparation
  • ensure proper food temperatures are maintained and items are accurately delivered
  • maintain safety standards, neatness, and sanitation of work areas
  • maintain cleanliness of kitchen including shelves, walls, floors and drains
  • participate as a team player with responsibilities related to preparation, service and delivery of product
  • handle and clean kitchen equipment carefully and safely
  • adhere to company guidelines for appearance and uniform standards
  • lead the food runners and coordinate accurate delivery of orders
  • perform other duties as assigned
