The position of Expeditor at Delicato Family Wines plays a vital role within the kitchen operations by setting the pace and flow of food pick-up. Reporting under general supervision, the Expeditor is responsible for ensuring that guest orders leave the kitchen only after quality control inspections confirm that all elements are complete and meet the company’s high standards. This role acts as the crucial link between the kitchen staff and dining room personnel, facilitating clear communication and coordination to maintain smooth service flow. The Expeditor works closely under the guidance of the Chef and Food and Beverage Manager, maintaining control over food quality, hygiene standards, and accurate order dispensing. The work environment is a dynamic, fast-paced restaurant setting requiring exceptional focus, coordination, and the ability to manage pressure gracefully. This role also involves maintaining station stock, completing side work assigned, and upholding high professionalism standards.

The compensation for the Expeditor position ranges from $16.50 to $25.70 per hour, reflective of qualifications, experience, education, and internal equity within the company. Job Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED equivalent, or equivalent experience
  • Previous high paced restaurant expeditor experience
  • ServSafe Certification
  • TIPS Certification or certification within 90 days of employment
  • Basic English speaking and reading skills desired

Job Duties

  • Communicates with staff in the kitchen under guidance of the Chef and Food and Beverage Manager
  • Ensures food leaving the kitchen meets prescribed quality
  • Communicates with dining room personnel
  • Ensures all food items are accountable according to POS check
  • Correctly handles and covers food per hygiene standards
  • Manages food dispense ensuring each guest receives the correct item
  • Stocks station and completes delegated side work
  • Performs other duties as assigned
