Job Description

BlueStar Resort & Golf is a renowned hospitality establishment dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences through its commitment to quality and service. Located just south of Denver, Colorado, BlueStar manages The Canyons at Castle Pines, one of the most anticipated new communities in the Greater Denver area. The Canyons is a master-planned community developed by Shea Homes Colorado, featuring a host of amenities, including The Exchange, which BlueStar operates to provide top-tier dining and recreational services. The company is known for fostering an inclusive and dynamic work environment that values integrity, respect, teamwork, and a competitive spirit. With a clear focus on guest satisfaction and employee development, BlueStar Resort & Golf stands out as a leader in the Colorado hospitality industry.

The Expeditor role at BlueStar Resort & Golf is a critical position within the Food & Beverage department at The Canyons. This full-time role offers a pay rate of $15.16 per hour plus tips, making it an attractive opportunity for individuals passionate about culinary excellence and guest service. The Expeditor works closely with the Culinary team and Food & Beverage staff to ensure that all food orders meet the company’s high standards for quality, portion size, and presentation before reaching the guests. This position reports directly to the Food & Beverage Manager and requires a keen eye for detail, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to maintain a fast-paced environment.

In this role, the Expeditor acts as the vital link between the kitchen staff and servers, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of food orders to patrons. Responsibilities include monitoring guest plates for quality control, understanding menu items in depth including ingredients and allergens, and managing the cleanliness and organization of the food line and surrounding areas. Additionally, the Expeditor oversees opening and closing side work for Server Assistants, enforces food safety protocols, and addresses any guest or safety issues with professionalism and diplomacy.

BlueStar values leadership and positive workplace culture, expecting the Expeditor to inspire and motivate team members through exemplary conduct and by embodying the company’s core values of honesty, integrity, respect, teamwork, and competitive spirit. Candidates should be highly customer-oriented, capable of working under pressure while multitasking, and eager to contribute to a productive work atmosphere. This role also demands flexibility as the work schedule includes evenings and weekends to cater to the community’s hospitality needs.

Team members at BlueStar Resort & Golf enjoy a comprehensive benefits package. Full-time employees working 30 hours or more weekly become eligible for medical, dental, and life insurance plans within the first two months of employment. Additionally, full-time staff accrue paid time off at a rate of 120 hours annually and receive seven paid holidays each year. Part-time employees benefit from accruing paid sick leave according to state guidelines. Employees over the age of 21 are also eligible to participate in the company’s 401(k) plan after 30 days of service, supporting long-term financial wellness.

BlueStar Resort & Golf is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, welcoming applications from all qualified candidates. The working environment for the Expeditor is primarily indoor within a restaurant setting but may include outdoor event spaces with exposure to variable weather and natural elements. The role involves standing, walking, and some physical exertion such as carrying trays and navigating event setups, making it suitable for energetic, attentive individuals seeking a rewarding hospitality career.
