The Promontory Club is currently seeking a dedicated Food and Beverage Fine Dining Expeditor/Busser to join the Hearth Grille team on a part-time basis. The Hearth Grille is a fine dining steakhouse known for its warm and inviting atmosphere, featuring an impressive 800-bottle wine wall that sets the stage for an exceptional culinary experience. The role of the expeditor/busser is vital in ensuring that members receive unparalleled service that aligns with the high standards of the Promontory Club. This position involves greeting members warmly, assisting with beverage services, maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of dining areas, and supporting the overall smooth operation of the restaurant. The ideal candidate will be professional, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while also cooperating effectively with team members.

Wages for this role start at $14.00 per hour plus tips and will be determined based on experience. The position requires someone who is punctual, well-groomed, and committed to upholding the Promontory Club’s safety and security policies. Employees will receive uniforms, have access to paid time off, holiday pay, employee meals, and privileges such as golf on two award-winning courses. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • must have or be able to acquire a State of Utah food handler's certification within the first two weeks of employment
  • one year of previous bussing experience preferred
  • must be able to stand on feet for extended periods
  • ability to lift 15lbs frequently and 50lbs occasionally
  • must be willing to work various hours, nights, holidays and weekends
  • must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • must have or be able to acquire a State of Utah food handler's certification within the first two weeks of employment
  • must be at least 16 years of age
  • one year of previous bussing experience preferred
  • must have good written and verbal communication skills
  • must have a high attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism

Job Duties

  • Greet the members in a friendly and professional manner
  • help perform water, coffee and tea service
  • clear tables of all plates, glasses and flatware in an appropriate and timely manner
  • maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the member's table, as well as that of the entire restaurant area including floors, windows and countertops both during and after the meal
  • re-set tables in a timely manner
  • completion of assigned opening and closing side work
  • work independently and collaboratively, be punctual and well groomed
