Job Description
Invited is a leading company operating in the hospitality and service industry, established in 1957 with a mission centered on building relationships and enriching the lives of its members, guests, and over 17,000 employees. As the largest owner and operator of private clubs nationwide, Invited manages more than 130 country clubs, city clubs, and athletic clubs. These clubs feature first-class amenities like championship golf courses, modern workspaces, handcrafted cuisine, resort-style pools, state-of-the-art racquet facilities, and fitness centers, all designed to provide exceptional experiences to its members and guests. With a rich history and a commitment to excellence, Invited fosters a welcoming and inclusive environment for both employees and patrons alike.
The role of Expeditor at Invited is vital for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen and dining areas. As an Expeditor, you are responsible for managing the flow of food from the kitchen to the dining area, coordinating the preparation and presentation of dishes, and ensuring quality standards are consistently met. This position requires close collaboration with kitchen staff, chefs, and front-of-house teams to guarantee timely delivery and high presentation standards, ultimately contributing to exceptional dining experiences. Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or Executive Chef, the Expeditor oversees the expediting process during meal periods and manages communication between kitchen and service staff.
The role demands a keen eye for detail to check dishes for quality, portioning, and presentation before they leave the kitchen, and requires addressing any issues related to food quality or presentation promptly. Furthermore, the Expeditor is instrumental in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the expediting and kitchen areas and assists in training new kitchen and service staff. The position also demands professionalism in interacting with members and guests, accommodating special requests or dietary restrictions, and ensuring the delivery of the club's recognized service standards.
This position's dynamic nature means the Expeditor should be flexible and willing to assist with additional tasks or duties as needed to support the overall operation of the club. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with at least one year of experience in a similar role. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure are essential to success in this role.
Expeditors must also be physically capable of standing, walking, and performing various physical activities for extended periods, including lifting or carrying loads of up to 100 pounds occasionally. The work environment includes varying temperatures and potential exposure to dust, fumes, or gases, requiring adaptability and adherence to safety guidelines.
Invited offers a comprehensive Total Rewards package for its full-time employees, which includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, a 401(k) retirement savings plan, and generous paid time off. The actual base pay is determined by skills, experience, education, location, and hours worked for non-exempt roles. Invited invites those passionate about hospitality, teamwork, and delivering outstanding service to join their inclusive and vibrant team, contributing to the continued success and prestigious reputation of the clubs they manage.
