Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
- must have or be able to obtain prior to start date a valid Oregon Food Handler's permit
- ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
- must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and associates
- must be able to stand and walk throughout the shift
- must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs at shoulder height and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- must be able to occasionally push/pull up to 75 lbs
Job Qualifications
- High school education required
- prior food and beverage experience preferred
- at least six months customer service experience preferred
Job Duties
- Checks each plate of food to be correct as ordered by the guest
- makes sure all condiments are accompanying each order
- assures that every item on the order is ready and on the tray together
- works diligently to avoid breakage and loss
- notifies server of guest needs
- completes all opening, on-going and closing side work and manager on duty as signed off on work
- stocks/restocks appropriate linens for service
- stocks/restocks work stations with appropriate plates and saucers
- informs server of any potential guest issues
- familiarizes himself/herself with all menus
- attends mandatory monthly department meetings and appropriate resort and division meetings
- answers questions and/or makes recommendations on menu items
- performs food preparation duties such as bread & butter set-ups, condiment preparation, and any other prep as needed
- assures that the beverage ice bins remain full for service staff
- addresses any guest issue promptly and with concern
