Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • four years experience in procurement, food and beverage, culinary, or related area
  • or two-year degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major
  • two years experience in procurement, food and beverage, culinary, or related area
  • proven leadership skills
  • strong communication skills
  • knowledge of food safety standards
  • experience managing inventory
  • ability to enforce safety and sanitation procedures
  • budget management skills
  • ability to train and supervise staff

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with four years of relevant experience
  • or two-year degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related field with two years experience

Job Duties

  • Manages daily kitchen utility operations
  • orders and manages supplies
  • schedules events and staff shifts
  • monitors inventory and inspects work areas
  • conducts inventories of china, glass, and silver
  • controls inventories and reports shortages
  • enforces cleaning routines and use of dish room machinery
  • ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
  • provides leadership and supervision to kitchen utility staff
  • recruits, trains, and disciplines employees
  • communicates performance expectations
  • promotes guest satisfaction and continuous improvement
  • manages department expenses to meet budget goals
  • attends meetings and collaborates with executives and peers
