Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in professional kitchens
  • Prior leadership experience in a fast-paced culinary environment
  • Ability to work full-time hours including weekends and holidays
  • Strong physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform kitchen tasks
  • Commitment to upholding company values and culture

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in culinary leadership or sous chef roles
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and culinary techniques
  • Ability to train and mentor culinary staff
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Experience with inventory management and food cost control
  • Effective communication and team-building skills

Job Duties

  • Support the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations
  • Lead the kitchen team as second-in-command
  • Coach kitchen associates on techniques, presentation, and best practices
  • Manage scheduling, inventory, and vendor relationships
  • Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation compliance
  • Monitor food cost control, portioning, and menu planning
  • Anticipate and resolve kitchen issues while fostering innovation and teamwork
