Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in professional kitchens
- Prior leadership experience in a fast-paced culinary environment
- Ability to work full-time hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform kitchen tasks
- Commitment to upholding company values and culture
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in culinary leadership or sous chef roles
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and culinary techniques
- Ability to train and mentor culinary staff
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Experience with inventory management and food cost control
- Effective communication and team-building skills
Job Duties
- Support the Executive Chef in overseeing kitchen operations
- Lead the kitchen team as second-in-command
- Coach kitchen associates on techniques, presentation, and best practices
- Manage scheduling, inventory, and vendor relationships
- Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation compliance
- Monitor food cost control, portioning, and menu planning
- Anticipate and resolve kitchen issues while fostering innovation and teamwork
