Job Description
Mina Group is a leading hospitality company in the United States, spearheaded by the acclaimed James Beard Award-winning chef Michael Mina. With a portfolio exceeding 30 unique dining concepts, the group partners with top-tier hospitality leaders such as Four Seasons, MGM Hotels, JW Marriott, and Regent Hotels to deliver exceptional culinary experiences. The organization is dedicated to elevating the art and craft of hospitality by creating unforgettable moments for guests across its diverse collection of properties. Mina Group is recognized for its commitment to nurturing leadership talent that exemplifies core values such as empathy, adaptability, and selflessness, fostering a culture passionate about hospitality excellence.
This available role within Mina Group is designed for a dynamic culinary professional who will assist in culinary leadership across restaurant locations during times of management shortage or transition. The successful candidate will play a critical role in coordinating, supervising, training, and supporting all operational facets during both new restaurant openings and ongoing operations at existing Mina Group venues. This position demands an individual who is hands-on in the kitchen, ready to mentor staff, and adaptable to the various challenges of high-end culinary operations. The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $75,000 to $85,000 annually, paired with an attractive benefits package including health coverage, 401K matching, bonuses, meal discounts, and more. Candidates must reside or be willing to relocate to a local market where Mina Group restaurants are currently operating.
The culinary leader in this position will collaborate closely with executive chefs and corporate culinary teams to optimize every aspect of kitchen operations. This encompasses expertise in cooking techniques, inventory management, labor cost control, and maintaining high standards of professionalism throughout the team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to culinary detail and possess strong communication and organizational skills, essential for fostering an environment of continuous learning and exceptional service. Additionally, adaptability, emotional maturity, and a gracious hospitality spirit are central to thriving in this role.
As part of the Mina Group Restaurant Excellence Team (REX), the candidate will receive extensive training in Mina’s standard operating procedures, systems, and brand concepts. This development program prepares the individual to take on full-time leadership roles within 12 to 18 months post-hire. Travel is a significant component of this role to ensure exposure to multiple locations for comprehensive experience, with travel expenses and per diem reimbursed according to company policy. The candidate must have the stamina and flexibility to work beyond standard hours and handle the physical demands typical of a fast-paced, high-volume fine dining kitchen environment.
Mina Group fosters an inclusive workplace welcoming diverse backgrounds, experiences, and ideas. Their commitment to equity is reflected in their hiring practices and support for employees throughout their career journey. The position is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious culinary professional seeking to advance within a prestigious hospitality group dedicated to quality, innovation, and memorable guest experiences.
