The role is specifically designated for the immediate direct support Chef who assumes responsibility for the culinary functions within the restaurant outlet in the absence of the Restaurant Executive Chef. This position demands a highly skilled culinary professional capable of overseeing all aspects of daily food preparation and kitchen operations. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of culinary experience
- Familiarity with HACCP and food safety protocols
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to work under physical and mental demands
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability to work flexible hours
Job Qualifications
- Associates of Culinary Arts or Business Administration
- Knowledge of local health department regulations and food safety standards
- Experience managing a kitchen team
- Skills in menu creation and food cost control
- Basic computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, TM1
- Ability to mentor and train culinary staff
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities
Job Duties
- Support the chef in developing and representing all food, beverage, and service of the department
- Interview, hire, train, and manage all culinary staff on a daily basis
- Ensure compliance with health department, HACCP, food safety SOPs, and federal guidelines
- Organize and oversee all food prep operations in daily operations
- Create menus, recipes, and use records
- Execute menu implementation lists and timelines
- Monitor food freshness, recipes, and portion use records
