The Executive Sous Chef II position at Eurest offers a compelling opportunity for experienced culinary professionals seeking to advance their careers in a leadership role within a vibrant and expanding company. This full-time position boasts a competitive salary range of $65,000 to $70,000 annually, reflecting the company's commitment to attracting top culinary talent. The role involves supporting the Executive Chef in managing all kitchen operations, ensuring food safety, sanitation, and high standards of meal preparation and presentation. You will be responsible for overseeing kitchen staff, coordinating food preparation activities, and assisting in planning, ordering, inventory control, and cost management. Additionally, you will play a key role in rolling out new culinary programs in partnership with marketing and culinary teams to maintain innovation and appeal within the dining services. This leadership role requires an individual who is not only adept in culinary skills but also excels in management, team supervision, cost control, and program implementation to help Eurest maintain its reputation for culinary excellence. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in culinary arts or related field or associate degree with specialized training
  • 3-5 years of culinary experience
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • knowledge of food cost management
  • proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and email
  • ability to work in high volume foodservice operations
  • experience with institutional and batch cooking preferred

Job Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Culinary Arts, Food Services Technology/Management or related field
  • or A.O.S. degree in Culinary Arts with additional specialized training
  • 3-5 years of relevant culinary experience
  • excellent interpersonal, customer service, and oral/written communication skills
  • knowledge of food cost and how it pertains to a kitchen, product and quality identification
  • experienced with computers including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Outlook, E-mail and the Internet
  • high volume, complex foodservice operations experience highly desirable
  • institutional and batch cooking experiences helpful

Job Duties

  • Coordinate activities of kitchen personnel engaged in preparation of food service
  • ensure that high quality food items are creatively prepared and presented in a cost effective manner
  • assist in all phases of planning, ordering, inventory, and food preparation
  • support the management of cost controls and control expenditures for the account
  • roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary teams
  • supervise co-workers to ensure the cleanliness, organization, and overall sanitation of the kitchen
  • perform other duties as assigned
