Job Description
Caesars Entertainment is a globally renowned leader in the hospitality and entertainment industry, recognized for its commitment to creating extraordinary experiences for guests. Operating iconic properties including Caesars Palace, this company delivers unparalleled luxury and service in a competitive, fast-paced environment. With a rich heritage centered on its mission to 'Create the Extraordinary,' Caesars Entertainment embodies values of teamwork, innovation, and excellence that drive its success across the resort, casino, and dining sectors. Their corporate social responsibility initiative, People Planet Play, highlights their dedication to economic development, community enrichment, and employee wellbeing, making it a distinguished employer in the hospitality space.
This position offers an exciting career path as an Executive Sous Chef within the main baking and pastry shop at Caesars Palace, a flagship property serving all properties citywide in Las Vegas. This opportunity plays a critical role in the culinary leadership team, supporting the Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine in the efficient running of the department and ensuring uncompromising quality across all baked and pastry products. The successful candidate will be entrusted with overseeing daily back-of-house operations, maintaining food safety, managing costs, and fostering a collaborative and productive kitchen environment. This role demands a balance of creativity, operational savvy, and leadership, ideal for culinary professionals passionate about desserts, pastry arts, and delivering high-volume excellence in a 5-star environment.
The Executive Sous Chef will act as a second-in-command, assuming responsibilities in the absence of senior chefs and providing guidance and development support to the culinary team including Chef Tournants and Bakers. Key responsibilities encompass staff scheduling, inventory management, quality control, compliance with health and safety regulations, and ensuring all culinary products meet Caesars' exacting standards. Being part of the Caesars brand means upholding a legacy of innovation and superior guest service, promoting a kitchen culture that emphasizes accountability, cleanliness, and creativity. Candidates will thrive in a dynamic and detail-oriented role that demands technical skill, a strong palate, knowledge of current culinary and pastry trends, and adept management of personnel and resources.
Ideal candidates bring at least five years of cooking experience, including one year in a supervisory capacity within upscale culinary settings such as luxury hotels or premier standalone restaurants. Formal culinary education such as a degree or apprenticeship is preferred, complemented by ServSafe certification and compliance with all food safety and sanitation protocols. Caesars Entertainment values individuals with excellent communication skills, a cooperative spirit, and the flexibility to work long hours and varied shifts. Embracing a blend of traditional techniques and innovative pastry artistry, this position contributes directly to the guest experience at one of the world’s most famous luxury resorts. The work environment is fast-paced, demanding, and rewarding with opportunities for professional growth and skill advancement through collaboration with seasoned culinary experts and management.
Joining Caesars Entertainment means becoming part of a vibrant community that cherishes team success, creativity, and delivering memorable experiences. The company fosters a supportive workplace culture that values diverse perspectives and encourages personal and professional development. Candidates can expect to engage in a role that not only challenges their culinary expertise but also their leadership, strategic thinking, and ability to execute flawless food production under high standards. This role is instrumental in upholding Caesars’ commitment to creating spectacular worlds that inspire and connect, making it a prestigious and fulfilling career opportunity for ambitious culinary professionals.
