Located in The Woodlands, Texas, Truluck's has built a reputation for excellence through its commitment to fresh, locally sourced ingredients, sustainable practices, and a dedication to creating memorable dining moments for its guests. The company prides itself on its core values of Culinary Excellence, Sustainable Seafood, Southern Hospitality, Company Culture, and Philanthropy, which shape every aspect of its operations and community engagement. As part of its ongoing growth and commitment to quality, Truluck's is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to join its culinary team in The Woodlands.

The Executive Sous Chef role at Truluck's is a vital leadership position within the culinary team. This role is designed for a seasoned culinary professional with at least five years of experience in fine dining and high-volume kitchen environments. The Executive Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in managing the culinary operations, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards, and that kitchen staff are coached and guided effectively. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of professionalism, accountability, leadership, and team commitment. They will be responsible for maintaining consistency in recipe execution, upholding food safety and quality standards, and contributing to the overall success and reputation of the restaurant.

Offering a competitive salary ranging from $75,000 to $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience and expertise, this full-time role also includes additional benefits such as a 401(k) plan with a 4% match after one year, health insurance with the company covering 75% of the employee's premium, employee discounts, and the opportunity to work at a beautiful location in The Woodlands, Texas. Truluck's culture emphasizes putting employees first and promoting sustainability in all aspects of their business, making this an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals who value quality, sustainability, and a supportive work environment.

Joining Truluck's means becoming part of a team that honors the plate, the palate, and the planet. The restaurant's commitment to TRU Sustainability ensures that no endangered or overfished seafood species are served, and they adhere strictly to Ocean Conservancy guidelines. Their dedication extends beyond the kitchen, with Florida Stone Crabs caught by their own team of professional crabbers and produce sourced locally whenever possible. This role not only demands culinary skill but also a passion for sustainable dining and community involvement. The Executive Sous Chef will play a critical role in upholding these standards and contributing to Truluck's mission of making good things happen for others through exceptional food and hospitality.
