The Executive Sous Chef role at SSA Group involves working directly with the Executive Chef to oversee culinary operations, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction within the food service areas at Foothills Golf Club. This full-time, exempt position offers a competitive compensation package, including a $75 monthly cell phone stipend and comprehensive benefits. The Executive Sous Chef is responsible for leading kitchen personnel through interviewing, hiring, training, and ongoing performance coaching. They develop culinary training programs, promote food safety and sanitation adherence, and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. Operational duties include supervising food preparation, managing inventory and food costs, assisting with menu planning, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Job Requirements

- Three to five years of junior sous chef or similar experience
- Culinary arts degree preferred
- ServSafe or food handling certification preferred
- Knowledge of HACCP

Job Duties
- Interview, hire, evaluate, reward, and coach kitchen personnel
- Develop culinary training programs for food production employees
- Train kitchen personnel in safe operating procedures and food production principles
- Direct and coordinate production and dish room staff
- Maintain communication with Food and Catering Operations teams
- Ensure positive working relationships with client staff
- Manage employees in compliance with labor laws
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Perform SSA EXTRA Guest Service steps
- Supervise inventory and food preparation
- Monitor cooking and holding temperatures
- Ensure consistency and quality across food operations
- Assist in menu planning and pricing
- Inspect food preparation, service areas, and equipment cleanliness
- Evaluate quality of raw and finished food products
- Enforce sanitary practices and comply with food safety regulations
- Process invoices and manage vendor payments
- Manage culinary operational functions
- Control food costs and waste
- Implement efficient systems and processes
- Prepare operational reports and financial analyses
- Analyze sales and inventory data
- Manage payroll budgets and staffing
