The Executive Sous Chef role at Seville Golf & Country Club is a pivotal leadership position dedicated to overseeing daily kitchen operations within this dynamic hospitality setting. This role demands a strategic business leader who not only manages but also inspires the culinary team to maintain the highest standards in food quality and presentation. The Executive Sous Chef works collaboratively with the Executive Chef to foster a People First Culture, ensuring that employee development and satisfaction are prioritized alongside operational excellence. Responsibilities include managing financial aspects such as cost controls, staying informed of the latest market trends to source seasonal products, and upholding rigorous sanitation and legal compliance standards to guarantee a safe and secure kitchen environment. The position emphasizes recruiting, selecting, and nurturing talent while promoting an inclusive and positive workplace culture. Candidates will have a minimum of three years of experience in an Executive Sous Chef role within a golf club, resort, hotel, or restaurant setting and possess educational credentials in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience. Proficiency in food safety certifications, leadership, communication, technology applications including POS and Microsoft Office, and experience with private events, banquets, and à la carte service are critical.
