Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in culinary arts or pastry
  • Minimum 7 years of professional pastry and bread production experience
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a high-volume artisan bakery environment
  • Ability to work early mornings starting around 5:00 a.m.
  • Physical capability to handle the demands of bakery production
  • Strong communication and team management skills
  • Willingness to relocate if currently based outside the region

Job Duties

  • Oversee all pastry and bread production for a high-volume cafe and fine-dining restaurant
  • Manage, train, and inspire a production team of 8-15 bakers, fostering a culture of respect and professional growth
  • Scale recipes and production processes efficiently to meet high demand while maintaining from-scratch standards
  • Direct the aesthetic vision for all pastry offerings, ensuring alignment with the brand’s high-end image
  • Maintain a player-coach presence by arriving early to oversee quality control and participate in production
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Hospitality and Director of Operations to ensure seamless service and brand consistency
