Job Description

BHC is a distinguished hospitality company renowned for its commitment to excellence, innovation, and hospitality across its luxury hotels and resorts. Known for delivering unparalleled guest experiences, BHC places a strong focus on culinary arts as a core element of its service offering. The Cooper, one of BHC's prestigious hotel properties, embodies the brand's dedication to elegance, sophistication, and remarkable service. This hotel is celebrated for its stylish atmosphere, fine dining venues, and exceptional hospitality, making it a premier destination for discerning travelers and guests who appreciate high-quality experiences in all aspects of their stay.

The Executive Pastry Chef role at The Cooper represents a critical leadership position within the hotel's culinary team, responsible for overseeing the entire pastry operation across multiple outlets. This full-time position demands a passionate and innovative pastry professional who combines creativity, technical expertise, and strong leadership to maintain and elevate BHC’s standards. The Executive Pastry Chef plays an instrumental role in crafting a pastry program that reflects both the brand’s style and its high expectations for quality and presentation.

As Executive Pastry Chef, you will lead a talented team of pastry chefs, bakers, and support staff, inspiring them to achieve excellence and continuously develop their skills. You will conceptualize and execute innovative dessert menus that cater to various dining venues, banquets, and special events, ensuring every creation is a masterpiece tailored to elevate the guest experience. Collaboration with the Culinary Director and the Food & Beverage team is essential to align pastry offerings with seasonal trends, special promotions, and overarching culinary goals.

Maintaining impeccable quality, consistency, and presentation across all pastry items is at the heart of this role. You will ensure strict adherence to food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and health regulations to provide guests with safe, high-quality products. Financial acumen is equally important, as you will manage ordering, inventory, and cost controls to meet budgetary goals while minimizing waste. Staying abreast of industry trends, emerging techniques, and evolving guest preferences allows you to keep the pastry program fresh, forward-thinking, and competitive.

The Executive Pastry Chef must foster an environment of creativity, excellence, and continuous improvement within the pastry department. This position also requires flexibility, as the role demands availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings to support the hotel's dynamic operations. BHC champions diversity and inclusion, offering equal opportunities to all candidates regardless of race, gender, age, or other protected characteristics. The Cooper is proud to participate in E-Verify and complies fully with all state and federal employment laws.

This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned pastry culinary professional seeking to make a significant impact within a luxury hospitality environment, where passion for innovation and excellence are valued. By joining BHC's esteemed culinary team, you will contribute to a legacy of outstanding guest service and become a vital part of a collaborative, creative, and supportive workplace.
