Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of receptionist experience in a professional office setting
  • Valid Class C (Class 1) Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Operator's License
  • Permanent residency in specified Pennsylvania counties
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Sensitivity to confidential matters

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One year of receptionist experience in a professional office setting
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work well with all levels of management staff and customers

Job Duties

  • Act as the first point of contact for Pittsburgh Water greeting customers clients and visitors with a positive helpful attitude
  • Assist customers with basic customer service information and provide resources for customers who require additional assistance
  • Maintain workplace security by following procedures and controlling access including monitoring the logbook and issuing visitor badges
  • Manage the sorting and delivery of mail as well as receive and sign for deliveries from couriers
  • Maintain lobby area by notifying staff of incoming packages
  • Answering forwarding and screening phone calls to appropriate departments
  • Schedule conference calls and meetings
