Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of previous hotel or related experience preferred
- Knowledge of hotel sales procedures
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to analyze and make logical decisions
- Proficiency in preparing sales and marketing materials
- Valid driver's license with ability to drive to sales calls
- Ability to work flexible hours including some weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to tour property and attend functions
- Basic office equipment proficiency
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of hotel policies and procedures
- Ability to analyze data and make recommendations
- Communication skills to negotiate, convince, sell, and influence
- Ability to drive to outside sales calls
- Excellent comprehension and literacy
- 1-2 years previous hotel experience preferred
- Marketing experience in travel and tourism industry desirable

- Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and travel
Job Duties
- Book short term meetings and groups into the hotel
- Supervise and execute set up, break down, and service of conference meeting rooms
- Receive and respond to all customer inquiries
- Negotiate and capture profitable rooms and catering business
- Provide marketing collateral including menus and seating diagrams
- Prepare and send proposals and contracts to clients
- Coordinate room lists with room types, billing, and accessibility
- Educate event planners on hotel policies and procedures
- Coordinate details on each event order including setup, food, and audio/visual equipment
- Distribute final rooming lists and event orders to service staff
- Conduct site inspections and entertain potential clients
- Document and report all sales activities
- Maintain active relationships with top accounts
- Host functions and participate in sales activities
- Sell and service onsite weddings
- Develop relationships within the wedding community
- Attend networking events
- Collaborate with banquet and culinary teams
- Use sales resources effectively
- Communicate event details to team
- Monitor client satisfaction and lead by example
- Capture, negotiate, and confirm new and repeat business
- Prepare and execute sales contracts and event orders
- Exercise excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
