The position in focus is a full-time, exempt management role reporting directly to the Regional Manager. This dynamic role blends leadership, culinary oversight, and guest service responsibilities to ensure every customer experiences first-class movie and dining entertainment. The manager will maintain operational standards by overseeing kitchen operations, controlling food costs and inventory, and ensuring safe and sanitary conditions. Moreover, the role demands a focus on culinary innovation, team development, and scheduling logistics to accommodate business fluctuations due to movie showtimes, seasonal trends, and weather.

This comprehensive role requires the ability to handle multiple priorities with professionalism and a hospitable attitude that creates a warm, fun, and engaging atmosphere for guests and employees alike. The successful candidate will lead recruitment efforts, hiring, onboarding, and training while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and cross-training among team members. They will be the primary communications liaison between kitchen and front-of-house teams, ensuring smooth operations and responsiveness to customer feedback.

The position calls for a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, coupled with a minimum of three years in a salaried managerial role within full-service, casual dining. Experience in establishments serving alcohol is desirable. Candidates must have extensive knowledge of professional cooking techniques, food safety, sanitation, and kitchen management while demonstrating the capacity to work calmly under pressure and motivate employees toward common goals. A flexible schedule is essential, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and up to 50 hours per week to meet operational demands. Job Duties

  • Provide a first-class movie and dining experience for every guest
  • exceed guest expectations and resolve all guest issues correctly to ensure return visits
  • deliver hospitality to every team member through employee alignment and focus on team development
  • generate business through in-store operational decisions and culinary innovation
  • maintain professional behavior while creating a warm, fun, friendly, and hospitable atmosphere
  • oversee kitchen product quality from delivery to service
  • control food cost, inventory, and ordering in conjunction with General Manager
  • enforce policies and procedures focused on product quality and sanitary operations
  • encourage feedback on food quality and apply improvements
  • monitor trends in food and improve Moviehouse & Eatery offerings
  • handle recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training of kitchen employees
  • focus on team member development and cross-training
  • manage schedule to assure proper staffing and shift preparedness
  • prepare for business changes related to movie schedules, weather, and seasonality
  • act as communications liaison between front of house and kitchen management teams
