The Executive Housekeeper role at Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite is a key leadership position responsible for managing and overseeing the housekeeping team to ensure that all resort areas are impeccably clean, sanitized, and guest-ready. In this leadership role, the Executive Housekeeper will manage all aspects of housekeeping operations, including hiring, training, scheduling, inventory control, and performance management. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- no degree required
- five years of housekeeping supervisory experience
- valid driver's license
- ability to operate cleaning equipment and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- visual acuity sufficient to inspect cleanliness
- availability to work days, holidays, evenings, and weekends
Job Qualifications
- At least five years of experience managing a team
- working knowledge of various cleaning utensils, dryers, washers, tools, fixtures, and cleaning solvents
- knowledge of how to use Material Safety Data Sheets for cleaning solvents
- must possess a valid driver's license
- effective leadership and communication skills
- strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Job Duties
- Lead and manage a team of housekeepers including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management and evaluation
- maintain an inventory of supplies, order and distribute supplies and equipment
- ensure that all reports, orders, and projects are completed
- monitor and control expenses and payroll while ensuring proper resources are in place
- conduct housekeeping inspections and take corrective action as needed
- drive company vehicles throughout the property
- oversee compliance with safety regulations and material safety data sheets
