Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in housekeeping management or related field
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning and janitorial practices
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to conduct physical inspections of cleaning standards
  • Experience with inventory management
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and chemical handling

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in housekeeping management or a similar role within the hospitality industry
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care, industrial cleaning methods, and janitorial practices
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with guests and staff
  • Previous hotel experience is preferred
  • custodial experience is a plus

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness and orderliness of all guest rooms and public areas
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to optimize efficiency and maintain high standards of cleanliness
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support to enhance performance
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, hallways, and common areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate services and respond promptly to guest requests or concerns
  • Address any issues or complaints from guests regarding housekeeping services in a professional manner
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and proper handling of cleaning chemicals
