Job Requirements
- Proven experience in housekeeping management or related field
- Strong knowledge of cleaning and janitorial practices
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to conduct physical inspections of cleaning standards
- Experience with inventory management
- Familiarity with safety protocols and chemical handling
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in housekeeping management or a similar role within the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care, industrial cleaning methods, and janitorial practices
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with guests and staff
- Previous hotel experience is preferred
- custodial experience is a plus
Job Duties
- Oversee daily housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness and orderliness of all guest rooms and public areas
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to optimize efficiency and maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Train, supervise, and evaluate housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support to enhance performance
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, hallways, and common areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate services and respond promptly to guest requests or concerns
- Address any issues or complaints from guests regarding housekeeping services in a professional manner
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and proper handling of cleaning chemicals
